Set Free

The Set Free Group is a Christ Centered Biblically based recovery based on the early beginnings of the AA program which was a Christ Centered recovery. Early AA before the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous was written had numerous Christian based books and periodicals that the early AA’s persons used for spiritual growth. The main book was of course the Bible. In addition to the Bible the book “Sermon of the Mount” by Emmit Fox and a monthly periodical the “Upper Room” which was a monthly periodical that began being published in the late 1939. I was told about this from one of the founding members of Alcoholics Anonymous Clarence Snyder back in 1982 when I listened to him speak at the Rebos Club in Casselberry Florida.  I did not realize how important that event would be in my life.  Today I try as best I can to try to share the Gospel of Jesus with all who would listen.

The Set Free Group is a group that meets every Thursday Night 7:00PM at the Freedom House Ministries 1060 Twelfth St, Hamilton, OH 45011. The Group is a Christ Centered Recovery Group, but all faiths and religions are welcome. Set Free is a 12 Steps for Christians meeting. We use the 12 steps of AA to find a better understanding of God, ourselves, and our purpose. The only requirement to be here is that we have a deep longing for freedom from addiction. Whether you or a loved one are addicted to a substance, food, sex, gambling, codependent, or in the middle of any other struggles, we are here for you.
